Simplifying Progress Monitoring Using Goal Attainment Scaling
Recorded January, 2018

Teams of educators are under increasing pressure to demonstrate effectiveness of their instruction and intervention with students who have IEPs and others who are underperforming. Many times, though, IEPs do not offer the detail and structure needed for all team members to know how to deliver the intervention strategies and measure progress. There is a need for a simpler and more efficient way to deliver coordinated intervention, communicate with one another, and measure learning and behavior on a day-to-day basis within daily classroom activities and routines.

In this webinar, participants will learn about Goal Attainment Scaling, a simple and research-based method for teams to measure and track the performance of students who need learning or behavioral support.

Goal Attainment Scaling works with any type of data and any learning or behavioral goal. Participants will also be introduced to GoalWorksTM, by ASCD Student Growth Center, an online tool for implementing Goal Attainment Scaling and communicating with ease as a team.

Elevating Core Instruction Through 7 Models of Co-teaching
Recorded August, 2017

Many schools are wisely making the move to Multi-tiered Systems of Support, including Response to Instruction and Intervention. Although it can be tempting to jump to tiers 2 and 3 and seek high-powered interventions, we must first invest solidly in core instruction. In this session, participants will learn about 7 models of co-teaching to use to deliver core instruction and support all students’ success. These co-teaching models bring powerful intervention practices to every classroom, preventing many students from needing intensive intervention.
