Who is ASCD Student Growth Center?

ASCD Student Growth Center is a joint venture with ASCD focused on innovative and practical supports for students with learning differences. The Center provides professional learning services and products, including software, that support goal setting, intervention design, and progress monitoring, based on research, recommended practices, and the work of Dr. Lee Ann Jung.

About the ASCD Student Growth Center Team

Lee Ann Jung, PhD
Chief Academic Officer, Co-founder

Lee Ann provides support internationally to schools in inclusion, standards-based grading, intervention planning, and progress monitoring. She has worked in special education since 1994 in the roles of teacher, administrator, consultant, and Professor and Director of International School Partnerships at the University of Kentucky.

Deric Miller
Lead Developer & Database Administrator

Deric’s extensive programming experience includes years of web development as well as games development for iOS & Android. His Master’s Degree centered on developing a computer simulation model of root growth under competition.

Developer & Lead Designer

Jason has worked continuously in web development and graphic design since 2003. He studied philosophy and computer science at the University of Kentucky and has a Masters of Divinity from Liberty University.

Nicole DeZarn
Instructional Coach

Nicole graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Science in Special Education for moderate to severe populations. She obtained a Master’s of Education in Educational Leadership from Eastern Kentucky University and a post-graduate certification in Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Education from the University of Kentucky. Nicole taught special education for 10 years at the high school and elementary levels and worked for a brief time as a developmental interventionist serving children ages birth to three and their families.
